Leader in digital physical therapy adds certified health and wellness coach to its growing team
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (July 17, 2020) – RecoveryOne, a leading digital physical therapy solution, today announced it has hired Dana Medlin as its new behavior change specialist. RecoveryOne’s clinically rigorous recovery pathways combine technology with human expertise. Its solution is supported by a medical advisory board and a team of clinical experts, including behavior change coaches and physical therapists.
A certified health and wellness coach, Dana has deep experience working with people to help them reach their health goals. She is trained in multiple behavior change techniques to help individuals create personalized action plans to modify unwanted behaviors, making lasting nutrition, activity and lifestyle changes. As a behavior change specialist at RecoveryOne, Dana will help shape the solution’s digital experience, with the goal of improving user engagement and adherence to their recovery plans. She will also lead training in behavior change coaching techniques for RecoveryOne’s network of physical therapists and recovery advocates that support the user’s digital recovery journey.
Individuals can change unwanted behaviors with minimal disruption to their daily routines—it just takes evidence-based techniques, and the right support system,” said Medlin. “I’m excited to be joining the RecoveryOne team, to further their mission of empowering users to take charge of their musculoskeletal pain at home, in a way that fits into their schedule and lifestyle.”
“Better health outcomes are achievable when a health plan member has 360-degree support in their physical therapy,” said RecoveryOne’s Chief Product Officer Miriam Beecham. “That means not just serving up digital recovery tools, but making therapists and coaches available who can support users every step of the way. We’ve seen time and again how critical human interaction is to recovery, and we’re thrilled to bring on Dana to lead this important component of our program.”
